Scale & Chord Structures
+
Arc Structures:
Horizontal subsets carved from the master NBS (Diatonic, Pentatonic, Tritonic ii-V-I cadences).
Octave Structures:
Vertical harmonies dictating how notes stack (Triads, Quartals, Symmetric divisions, and Shells).
Audition any structural footprint in real-time by clicking the
Block
or
Arp
buttons.
Coordinate Signatures
+
Octave structures utilize two bracketed coordinate systems:
Interval Signature (e.g., [4, 3, 5]):
Maps vertical distance in semitones. Values always sum to 12.
CoF Signature (e.g., [+4, -3, -1]):
Maps the horizontal vector along the circle of fifths (+ is clockwise, - is counter-clockwise). Vectors sum to 0.
